COVER,PAN-GALACTIC TROPHY, AND NEW TRANSOM
New cover built fall of 2000 by Ray Brimsmead of CATARACT CANVAS (905-354-2870) in Niagara Falls, ONT. for 2/3s price of US competitor.  He did a beautiful job, making it of industrial strength "Top Gun" material.  To right of ladder is storm flap, covering "U" shaped zipper opening for easy access.
Instead of tying it down (bad for Awl-grip, won't let it breathe), it is secured with gravel filled jugs hanging from webbing.  No gromets to scratch hull, and allows it to give during winter storms.
In bottom photo is 24 hour solar vent from forward hatch, installed in re-inforced area of cover.  Circulates fresh air all winter long, and does alot more good than either sitting under cover or buried in snow.

The PAN-GALACTIC REDWING 30 CHAMPIONSHIP trophy, which hung in the President's office of Hinterhoeller Yachts and later C&C Yachts for 25 years before "sailing" across the river to Youngstown.  Since 1990, it has been won by SPECTRUM (Jim Nealon-RYC), FLINTLOCK (David Matheson-RCYC), and *PEGASUS* for competition at the Youngstown Level Regatta.
As keeper & procurer of the trophy, I am contemplating writing/changing Deed of Gift to include competition at C&C Owner's Regatta, Youngstown Levels, LYRA Regatta.
New transom logo (Finally).  Took about an hour to apply vinyl "decal".  Graphics design and manufacturing done by Mike Foley at www.signdogs.com   I feel that this captures the spirit of BATTLESTAR PEGASUS much better than the previous "my little pony" logo.
