Picture to left: Sliding companionway hatch is 2 pieces of 1/4" lexan sealed together with current sailing instructions in between for quick reference. On starboard side of cabin top are Main sail controls. Flattening, 1st,& 2nd reef go to sheet-stoppers. Double sheetstoppers hold main halyard and cunningham. Tail of main sheet ends at trigger cam, and outhaul for loose- footed main to jamb cleat on handrail. Addition of Harken self-tailer allows me to reef main in 30-45 secs without leaving cockpit.
Below: Piece of PVC pipe behind hatch prevents sheets from getting hung up on hatch hinges.
"New" eliptical rudder, described in previous pages. As I didn't want this want to break like previous one, I overbuilt it. Weighs in at 125# instead of original 65#
