The original maststep developed a bend when my father owned the boat, so we fabricated one out of stainless steel.  Installed a "boomkicker", eliminating need for main topping lift.  With the boomkicker, you can't forget to put the topping lift on while reefing and have the boom crashing into the cockpit.  Also good for lifting the boom and opening the leach in light air.  10:1 vang below boomkicker.  On starboard side of mast base notice 5ple Harken block for running main control lines to cockpit.  Replaced forward hatch with 1/2" smoked Plexiglass & installed 24 hr. solar vent.
Note brass cap rail installed on top of port cockpit coaming.  I found that the port side coaming was taking alot of abuse from boarders and roller furling control line, so I installed the brass cap.  On port cabin top are two jib halyards, spin halyard, & spin topping lift.  On outside of cabin is foreguy to Spinlock unit.  "Net" built in above sailcover to deter flying rats from lunching there.
BATTLESTAR PEGASUS (abbreviated *PEGASUS*) airbrushed on.  Going to have to change it one of these days, looks too much like "My Little Pony".  Did finally get new transom logo in 2001. Look on new photo page. Note section of PVC pipe over exhaust to prevent soot from running down transom.
SailComp display mounted on PVC pipe across companionway.  "Temporary" solution about 4 years ago when I installed boomkicker and had to remove SailComp from mast bracket.  Will probably mount Garmin GPS up there sometime.
